Dr. V. P. Singh did his M. Sc. (Mathematics) and Ph.D. (Fluid mechanics) from Delhi University. He worked at Centre for Aeronautical System studies and Analysis (CASSA),DRDO, Bangalore (INDIA) as an Associate Director, from April 1986 to 31st May 2000, and retired there after. He had joined DRDO in June 1966 at Defence Science Laboratory(DSL),Delhi, now called Defence Science Centre (DSC). In DSC, he worked in the field of Shock wave propagation for his Ph. D. degree from Dehli University. From June 1969 to October 1984, he worked in Terminal Ballistics Research Laboratory, Chandigarh. There he worked in Shock wave propagation in water, solids and explosives (detonation waves). Then shifted to Center for Aeronautical System Studies & Analysys (CASSA), DRDO, Bangalore. There he worked in LCA vulnerability studies, Prithvi missile modeling and various other weapon modelling problems. After superannuation from CASSA in May, 2000, he joined Punjab Technical University , Jallandhar as Director Planning and Development. He had an additional charge of Director (Distance Education). On 8th October, 2003, he resigned from PTU and joined Institute of Engineering and Technology, Bhaddal (Ropar) as Professor and Head of Department of Computer Science & Engineering Department. He joined as Principal of Institute of Engineering and Technology, Bhaddal (Ropar) on 16th January,06. From June 2008 to July 2010 he was in SBIT, Sonepat as Dean, performing the duties of principal. On July 2010, he joined Sat Kabir institute of Technology and Management, Ladrawan, Bahadurgarh (Haryana). He is also holding the charge of Managing Director of INSCOMS, an educational/research institution. He also worked in Shri Balwant Institute of Technology, Sonepat (Haryana) as principal (June 2008-June 2010) and at present working in Sat Kabir Institute of Technology & Management, Bahadurgarh (Haryana) as principal. He published number of books and technical papers (List of papers) in national and international journals.
